Thanks for the numbers, his offices need to be on our speed dial. Anybody that lives in a Teapublican district, needs to be calling them as well.

Most of the jobs were lost on the right wing watch.

Obama gave corps payroll tax cuts which the gop demanded before they filibustered it.

corps are sitting on record amounts of capital because they prepared for a depression which obama kept to only recession levels.

Rather than support the country that kept their business from failing, they choose to support those who need support the least, their stock holders. By increasing dividends and having stock buy backs to shore up the stock price.

we get the right wing doesnt give a crap about this country and would gladdly see it suffer and even themselves and their businesses suffer rather than hire anyone while obama is president. Because the right wing is extremely petty that way.

What is all of this about? Mr.Boehner hasn't even started his new job! This is foolish!

The sentiment is, this is exactly what the Republicans did when Obama took office. They yelled and screamed at the top of their lungs as soon McCain conceded, asking where the jobs were. Hannity called this recession "the Obama recession" before he even took office. Then they claimed that we thought he was magical.

This is foolish!

This is the Democratic Party, and it's part of the reason they took a "shellacking," to quote our President.

No Rigbee, The reason wasn't because the Democrats were acting like fools. The Republican were. They screamed their fool heads off about anything the Democrats did. Were you asleep the past 2 years?
If anything, it was because they "took the high road" as katrix in 8.3 thinks we should again. So, while they screamed and whined Democrats rose above and figured the people would see the Dems were being mature. Well, it seems they didn't. All they heard was the deafening roar of hyperbole, and misinformation.
Maybe it is time the Democrats dished out some of their own? Nice guys finish last right? Or is it the Republicans can dish it out, but can't take it? Don't worry I know the answer to that last question.

You forgot to say, "Neener, neener."

They screamed their fool heads off about anything the Democrats did.

Nah, just the stuff that we thought was bad for the country. We kind of like the fact that Gitmo is still open and that the tax cuts will be extended.

Democrats rose above and figured the people would see the Dems were being mature.

Most of my daily exposure to Democrats is here on the 'Vine. Maturity is not an apt description.

Magnoliaave: We're giving the republican House majority about the same amount of time to work miracles that was given to the dems in 2008. That's what this is about. I've emailed Mr. Boehner and asked him where the jobs are. I'll try to do it on a daily basis, again as was done to the dems for 2 years.

So you're proving you can be just as childish as someone else. I'm sure that's really going to make his aides take you seriously. In case you aren't aware, Pelosi is still the Speaker and she's still the one you should be asking these questions (if you really think the Speaker alone can affect the job market that much)

Well, it worked for them right? Turn about is fair play.

This could backfire though. If jobs start coming back now, the Republicans can take credit for it. I wrote an article about how now no matter which way the economy turns the Republicans can use it to their advantage. I won't link to it as I don't want to steal Leonard's thunder.

      This line proves my point:

Obama created 43,000 new private sector jobs in October. How many jobs has Boehner created?

You can expect that, from now on, every job created the Republicans will claim as theirs. They will ignore any jobs created before they won, and claim that the jobs didn't start returning until they won the election. They will trumpet this in their speeches, and the news media will pick it up and it will become "the truth" as the American people know it.

Turnabout is fair play? This explains why our voters are so screwed up. Partisan people are like little kids saying "but Mommy, he did it too!" Partisan people scream bloody murder when someone in the other party does something wrong, but defend those of their own party for doing the exact same things.

If you hated it so much when the right acted like this, then why don't you take the high road and try to act rational now? All you're doing is proving you can be as petty as they were. Two wrongs don't make a right.

katrix see my response on 6.3, then read this:

I most likely am just blowing of steam, and will go back responding to misinformation with facts and links to the facts. All the while the right throws out baseless one liners like tyler-1708225 here in 8.4, and all will be right with the world. I hate hyperbole and misinformation and crappy useless one-liners that add nothing to the debate. I can't see myself using those tactics in the future.

I hope that's the case, and wish more partisan people would start doing that. Personally, I see just as many attacks from each party; too many people who won't admit any flaws in their party's candidates or policies, and often won't admit to any good ideas on the other party's side.

If the are like the democrats when they were called on health care, expect unanswered phones, ignored letters, or at the most one saying nothing but telling you how great they are.  They could use the same tricks on you the democrats used.
