Abortion is a subject I have struggled with for many years. I know it is easier to struggle with this subject because of course I'll never need to get an abortion. Because of my faith I have an anti-abortion bias. On the same token, I don't believe "Big Government" should be making the decision on whether a woman gets an abortion or not. The decision to get an abortion needs between a woman, a spouse, a doctor and a higher power (not the government). Many anti-choice zealots are also anti-government zealots. Funny, they don't want government involved in issues like national health care for instance but they don't mind a heavy handed federal government taking over the abortion issue.
I never met anyone who is truly "pro-abortion"; I don't believe they exist in mass. It is time for common ground on the choice debate. Let's work together to reduce unwanted pregnancies and everyone wins. - Robert
